Furthermore, Sakuma, the leader of percussion, provokes new concertmaster Hatori and the members of the string instruments with harsh words. Aono is confused, and Saeki and Ritsuko are angry.

Takimoto, who was transferred from the first violin section to become the leader of the second violin section, has been skipping morning practice. At meetings, Sakuma and the others criticize him for not showing up despite being in a position to lead the section, but Takimoto continues to evade the question and doesn't explain the reason. Eventually, the frustration of the second violin section members explodes, and they confront Takimoto. Aono witnesses this. Takimoto leaves, saying something meaningful, and leaves.
