Where witchcraft and wife-swapping are more a way of life than afternoon tea and Sunday cricket.

Mary Trewednack lives above her Post Office in the fictitious Cornish village of St Gweep with her neurotic partner Angela. Lesbians until something better comes up, they enjoy the cosy security of life in a tight-knit coastal community, but their chances of finding suitable men are more remote than the village itself. For, behind this picture-postcard exterior, witchcraft and wife-swapping are more a way of life than cream teas and Cornish pasties. Here, the village bobby is Police Calendar's Mr. March, the cosy pub hosts swingers' evenings and the local museum is dedicated to witchcraft.

1"One Home Good, Two Homes Bad"

Huge bags of Tupperware from a shipwreck wash up on the beach in St Gweep and the locals are whipped into a scavenging frenzy, meanwhile Harry decides to lead a campaign against people who buy up property in the town for use as holiday homes.

2"Fear of Bungee"

Following an outbreak of vandalism by local kids Mary recommends punitive action but Angela suggests positive activities, in the process discovering bungee jumping, which she is keen to try, especially as the instructor is young and handsome. Other villagers also sign up but Angela begins to have second thoughts and only agrees to go through with it if white witch Holly gives her a lucky charm - a very large stone which makes her jump rather more spectacular than the others'. Meanwhile Mary forces the kids to paint a mural - securing herself an arts council grant along the way.

The whole town is aware of Jeff's secret swingers parties at the pub, Mary decides to go along to one, Angela sends the police in to perform a raid.

Jake has the only generator and charges exorbitant prices for batteries, use of televisions, computers and showers.
