Caillou is having fun being noisy, but his Mommy asks him to be quiet. All of a sudden he feels hungry, so he goes off to the kitchen -- where he gets the idea to make some cookies. Only instead of making cookies, he makes a great big gooey, sweet and delicious mess!

Caillou is afraid. He’s afraid of Mr. Hinkle, the kind man who lives next door. He is even afraid of Mr. Hinkle’s house! So when Mr. Hinkle comes to visit to say how sorry he is that Caillou is afraid, Caillou runs away. But it quickly turns into a game of hide and seek and when playtime is over Caillou has made a new friend.

Caillou really hates vegetables until he goes for a walk in the park with his Grandpa, who shows him all kinds of interesting animals and birds. All this activity makes them hungry—as hungry as bears! So when it’s suppertime, they eat just like bears, pretending their vegetables are berries, (leaving just enough room for cookies, of course).

Mom is very busy with the household accounts so she doesn’t have time to play with Caillou. Nor does Dad, who’s trying to fix the washing machine. And Grandma’s busy looking after Rosie. Even Gilbert the cat doesn’t want to play with him. Caillou is all alone and feeling a bit sorry for himself. But pretty soon he invents a game with one of his dinosaurs and then he’s too busy to play with everyone else.

Caillou has left his toys all over the place: on the stairs, in the driveway and even in the bathroom. He has to tidy them all before he can have his chocolate pudding. Part of the problem is that he has so many toys. Mom suggests that he should give some of his old ones to Rosie and Dad suggests that he can make a big toy box. Caillou helps him to make it.

Just like his Daddy, Caillou loves anything to do with cars, so he’s very happy when Dad asks him to help wash the family car. And while he sits in the car, he imagines he’s driving a car to the beach. When he beeps the horn, he surprises Dad, making him accidentally turn the hose on himself. Later on, when the family really goes for a drive to the beach, Caillou is reminded of his imaginary journey.

It’s Caillou’s first day at day care and he really doesn’t want to go. But once he gets there he meets his teacher, Miss Martin and makes two new friends, Leo and Clementine. Day care is a fun place, after all and when his Mommy comes to pick him up, Caillou doesn’t want to go home!

Caillou gets up very early one morning and gets dressed all by himself. He doesn’t want to miss a trip to the circus. So when Dad points out that the circus trip is the following day, Caillou is very disappointed. In fact he’s not in a good mood at all. But Dad makes everything right by suggesting a special game: together, they create their own circus parade.

Caillou can’t get to sleep because he’s sure there’s a monster in his bedroom. Mom and Dad try to reassure him, but things go from bad to worse when he thinks his toy snake is real. Dad shows him that the scary noises he hears are being made by a tree branch brushing against the window and in the end, the only ‘monster’ in Caillou’s room is Gilbert the cat.

Caillou is talking to Grandma. She's surprised when he tells her he doesn't have any friends. She asks him about Clementine and Leo and reminds him that Gilbert is a friend too. And what about Rosie? Well yes, says Caillou, Rosie is my sister, but she's my friend too. And how about Mr. Hinkle? And Mom and Dad? Pretty soon, Caillou realizes he has lots of friends including Grandma.

Caillou needs a follow-up visit to the doctor for an earache. He is afraid to go in as the last visit frightened him. But his mother encourages him and the doctor assures him it won't hurt this time. Caillou examines a doll's ear first and thinks it's fun. Then the doctor looks in his. He's on the mend and onto a good thing. When he gets home he shines a flashlight in everyone's ear including Grandma who's snoozing in the armchair!

Caillou remembers when he was just two and a half and Rosie came home for the first time. Everybody was very excited—everybody except Caillou, who felt a bit left out. But that soon changed, especially when Caillou helped Daddy change Rosie’s diaper.

It’s a busy day. First of all it’s snowing and Caillou is looking forward to making a snowman. And Mom’s making one of her special surprise cakes, which means Caillou and Rosie have to go to the shop with her to get the ingredients. And then Caillou gets lost in the shop…but it all works out fine in the end. And the snowman is delicious!

It’s bath time. And for Caillou that means trouble. He just doesn’t like taking baths. But bit by bit bath time turns into playtime, thanks to Daddy, a motorboat and a big bottle of bubble bath.

Mom’s doing the laundry and Caillou decides to get dressed all by himself. The problem is, he doesn’t have any clean clothes to wear. So Daddy suggests a dressing-up game with some of his old clothes. Pretty soon Caillou is not only all dressed up he even has a moustache to go with his fancy outfit.

Caillou's favorite shirt has teddy bears all over it. It's his teddy shirt. One day he sees Rosie wearing it and he gets very upset. But he has to admit that he's getting too big for the teddy shirt. In fact, he can hardly get into it. But he doesn't really want Rosie to have it, so he gives it to his favorite teddy bear to wear.

Caillou has lots of big adventures when he goes round the block by himself for the first time. He meets Sarah out on her skateboard; he sees a rainbow; he plays hopscotch and he meets a scary crow. By the time he gets home he’s really happy to see Mom again.

Caillou is at Grandpa and Grandma's house. He goes looking for a special hiding place and gets stuck in a kitchen closet. Grandpa shows Caillou an extra-special place: a hollow tree trunk. Caillou discovers an old toy in the hiding place and learns that it used to be his Daddy's hiding place when he was Caillou's age.

It’s Caillou’s birthday and he’s having a little party. His friends Clementine and Leo come to play with him and they all have face paint disguises. What Caillou really wants for his birthday is a special dinosaur. And by the time the party’s over he unexpectedly has two of them!

Caillou has nobody to play with, so he recruits Gilbert his cat. He tries to get Gilbert to play his favorite games, but Gilbert isn’t interested in the slightest. When Mom points out that Caillou’s been trying to get the cat to play people games, he realizes that Gilbert probably wants to play kitty cat games. That works much better!

Caillou is tossing and turning. No matter what he does he just can’t get to sleep. It’s summer and his curtains are at the cleaners. Luckily Grandma has a wonderful idea: She makes a cardboard cutout night sky to put against the window. It darkens the room and projects the moon and the stars onto his walls and ceiling. Caillou falls asleep in no time.

One day in the park Caillou is scared by a stranger’s dog, so he’s very nervous when he visits Grandma’s house and discovers she’s looking after a friend’s dog. But bit by bit they get to know each other and pretty soon Caillou isn’t nervous at all. In fact he’s made a brand new friend.

Caillou and his family go to the zoo. Caillou is thrilled to see that animals have families too. He sees a baby rhino and a big family of chimpanzees. But his absolute favorite is a young sea otter, which has to be taught how to swim.

It’s a rainy day and Caillou is looking forward to jumping in all the puddles when he goes out with his Mommy. But somehow or other it takes Caillou a very long time to get ready to go out. There’s always something else he has to do before he can leave. So by the time he does leave, it has stopped raining. Happily, there are still some puddles to splash in.

Caillou and his family are spending the day at the beach. There’s so much to see and do! Caillou and Dad go into the water; a seagull tries to steal Caillou’s sandwich; Caillou sees a hermit crab and finally he and Dad build a sandcastle.

Caillou goes with Mom to buy a new pair of shoes. On the way he sees Sarah running fast. He decides he wants a pair of shoes he can run in. First, the salesman has to measure his feet. Eventually he picks exactly the right pair and he shows Sarah just how fast he can run.

Caillou wants to make a snowman, but he doesn’t really know how. Luckily, Sarah knows how to make snowmen very well and they work together building the components and putting them together. When they’re finished, Mom provides the finishing touches: A carrot for his nose and some big buttons for his eyes and his smile.

Caillou is very excited because he’s going to a parade with horses, drummers and clowns. But Rosie is afraid of clowns so Mom isn’t sure it’s a good idea to go. Caillou is upset because he thinks he’ll miss the parade just because of that. And then he has a good idea: If he shows Rosie that clowns are just people wearing silly costumes, she won’t be afraid anymore.

Caillou is having fun with his friend—his special friend—George. What makes George so special? Well, he’s invisible for one thing... George and Caillou have a race and break a flowerpot. At first Caillou blames George, but his Daddy talks to him and he agrees that he might have had a little something to do with it too.

It’s fall and the backyard is covered with leaves. Caillou and Rosie have so much fun playing in the leaves that Caillou doesn’t want to go into the house. He asks Dad if he can help him rake the leaves into piles. When they’ve made piles of piles, Caillou pretends the piles of leaves are houses enough houses to make a city.

Caillou meets a new friend called André and André is big! Caillou never had a friend this big before. André is also a bit clumsy, so playing with him means things tend to get broken. Caillou is particularly upset when André breaks his favorite chair, but all is soon forgotten when they go outside and play soccer.

Caillou is visiting Grandma’s house and he’s not in a very good mood. While Grandma goes into the kitchen, Caillou starts to make a finger painting with Grandma’s blue paint and pretty soon he’s using all of Grandma’s colors and feeling much, much better.

Mom is upset when the mailman only brings bills, bills and more bills. She tells Caillou she'd love to get a nice letter for a change. Caillou and Dad decide to make a nice letter for her and early the next morning they give it to the mailman to deliver. Mom is thrilled to get such a nice letter from Caillou.

Grandpa tells Caillou about the time when his Daddy was a little boy and they went on a camping trip. Caillou loves the idea of camping and he and Grandpa set up the tent in the garden. Caillou is excited to see the stars in the sky and the fireflies in the bushes. But once they settle in to go to sleep, Caillou gets a bit nervous, so Grandpa comes up with a surprise solution!

Caillou goes to the swimming pool with his family and Daddy teaches him how to swim. After a few lessons he’s getting better and better. Pretty soon, he wants to swim by himself and although it starts off with a bit of a scare, everything ends up just fine. Caillou can swim now.

Mom and Dad are going out. Caillou wants his regular baby-sitter, not Julie, whom he has never met before. He’s sure he isn’t going to like her. He gives Julie a hard time, refusing to eat his supper... But then Julie turns suppertime into a game and serves breakfast instead. Long before Mom and Dad come home, Caillou has decided he likes his new baby-sitter after all.

Caillou has a hard time staying upright on his skates. He wants to be the fastest skater in the world but he keeps falling on the ice. Dad gives him a chair to hold onto to help his balance and after a little while and a lot of encouragement from Mom and Dad he is finally able to skate.

When Caillou first meets Jim in the sandbox at the park he doesn’t really like him at all. Jim grabs at everything he wants and Caillou is a bit intimidated. But Jim’s Mom and Caillou's Grandpa sort things out and the two boys discover how much fun they can have playing together.

Mom and Rosie are out for the day and that means Caillou and Dad will spend the day together "taking care of business." Caillou likes having Dad all to himself and the two of them make a bookshelf for Mom and go out for a bike ride together, the way Caillou likes it: just the two of them, Caillou and Dad.

When Grandpa comes over to help Mom make a vegetable garden he shows Caillou how to plant a bed of carrots. Caillou doesn’t like vegetables very much, but he’s very interested in seeing the results of his gardening. And when the carrots finally do come out of the ground he discovers they taste better than any vegetables he’s ever eaten.

Caillou and his family have a wonderful day out at a theme park. Caillou and Dad go on the thrilling Niagara River Ride, they all go on a Ferris wheel and for a special treat they have cotton candy for dessert. The perfect day is made even better when Dad tosses rings at a midway booth and wins the biggest teddy bear Caillou has ever seen.

Caillou doesn’t go to school yet but he really wants to ride on the school bus that stops outside his house every morning. When Dad takes him to see the bus from close up the driver offers to take Caillou with the other children the next day. Caillou makes a special painting for the driver and they have a marvellous ride.

Caillou is having a game of dinosaur hunter with Gilbert the cat. He goes for a snack and when he comes back there’s no sign of Gilbert. He’s disappeared! Mom says Caillou will have to be a detective and together they search the house, looking for clues. Eventually they find Gilbert curled up and fast asleep in Caillou’s bed.

Caillou gets up early one morning. So early in fact that he’s the first person awake in the whole house. He decides to make his own breakfast—and then gets the idea to make Mom and Dad a surprise breakfast. It’s a lot of hard work and he does make a bit of a mess, but Caillou’s surprise breakfast is a big success.

Caillou wants to wear his favorite socks, but one of them is missing. When he goes looking in the basement he accidentally gets himself locked in. Daddy to the rescue! Only now they're both locked in! Caillou and Dad shout to attract Mom's attention. She comes and lets them out and finds the missing sock.

Caillou is very excited when he goes to work with Mom. She works in a big building with revolving doors and elevators. While she works in her office Caillou does a nice drawing. They have lunch together and then Daddy comes to fetch Caillou. On the way out Caillou shows him how to work the elevators and the revolving doors.

Caillou’s bossy friend Clementine comes over to play. Caillou wants to play dinosaurs but Clementine insists on playing families. When she picks up his teddy bear he’s particularly upset, because it’s his teddy bear. They quarrel and it ends in tears. Mom sorts things out and they end up friends again, just in time to play baseball with Clementine’s brother Billy.

Caillou is very curious when he finds a dead bird in the garden. He wants to know why it died. Dad explains that it probably got too old. Caillou thinks about that and begins to worry about getting too old himself. He tells Mom and Dad he doesn’t want to get any older because of what happened to the bird. They reassure him and he agrees he has plenty of time to get older.

Caillou is playing in the park with Clementine. She’s a lot more confident about most things than he is and she isn’t at all scared to go on the big kids’ slide. Caillou is frightened, but he can’t bring himself to admit it to Clementine. She teases him anyway. When Dad comes to fetch Caillou they go down the slide together. Caillou discovers it isn’t so hard after all and does it all by himself.

Grandma is looking after her friend’s dog again. She shows Caillou how to walk the puppy on a leash and how to play ‘fetch’ with a ball. Caillou loves having the puppy obey his orders and pesters Mom and Dad for a dog of his own. They say he already has a pet: Gilbert. Maybe when he’s a bit older he can have a dog. Caillou understands and in the meantime he attached a leash to a toy dog and proudly walks it around the house.

Mommy isn’t feeling well so she asks Caillou to watch Rosie and play quietly while she lies down for a while. They draw animals, but Rosie is naughty and starts drawing on the walls. When Mom comes in to see what all the fuss is about she is angry with poor Caillou—who thinks it’s unfair. Mom softens and together they clean up Rosie’s mess.

Caillou has a fever. Then he gets itchy spots. Chicken pox! He’s not very comfortable and he has to take special baths to soothe the itching. He knows he’s not supposed to scratch but he just can’t help himself. When he sees Rosie playing in the garden he wants to play with her and can’t wait to get better. But by the time he’s finally well enough to go out and pay, it turns out Rosie has chicken pox too!

When Mom is busy on the phone all morning and doesn’t have time for Caillou he feels very left out of things. He plays with his toy phone and then talks to Grandma on the real phone. He likes talking on the phone -- it makes him feel very grown up.

Caillou is going to spend the night away from his home and family for the very first time. He goes to Leo's house and has a lot of fun in Leo's tree house, but at bedtime he's feeling lonely and homesick. Leo's mom suggests he should phone home. He feels much better when he speaks to his Mommy and even better when she reminds him he has his teddy bear with him.

Caillou thinks his sister Rosie is getting favorable treatment and it just isn’t fair! Mom explains to him that Rosie is just a baby and can’t do a lot of the things she asks him to do. Caillou decides being a baby is better than being four and pretends to be a baby—until Mom tells both her babies it’s time for a nap. Maybe being four is better than being a baby after all!

It’s Caillou’s first flight and he’s curious about everything. He loves looking out of the window at the ground below; he likes playing with the music system; breakfast on a plane is an adventure in itself and when the pilot invites him to visit the flight deck with Daddy that’s the best of all!

It’s not always easy being a big brother. Caillou likes Rosie very much, but she can really be a big nuisance. She’s bothering Caillou, interrupting him when all he wants to do is read his book. He sends her away, but pretty soon he wants to play a game and it’s always better to play with somebody else.

Grandma always has the best surprises for Caillou. When they go to the park together she introduces him to the birds that live there. The chickadees and cardinals come and take the food right out of his hand. When they go home Grandma presents Caillou with a little birdhouse so he can go bird-watching every day.

Mom is putting on her makeup to go out with Dad and that gives Caillou an idea for a game. He takes one of Rosie’s dolls and tries to make it look as pretty as his Mom—with disastrous results. He’s ashamed, so he hides the doll. At first he tries to pretend he doesn’t know where it is, but he quickly admits the truth and all is well again.

Poor Caillou! He’s fallen off his bike and scraped his knee. The mishap has hurt his knee and his pride too. He needs the special touch of Mom’s first-aid. When she puts a special plaster on Caillou, the one with the dinosaur pattern, he begins to feel much better.

Caillou’s big friend André has come to visit. André is a soccer player and Caillou wants to play too... Only Caillou isn’t very good at kicking the ball. Sometimes he misses altogether sometimes it only goes a few inches. He wants to give up, but André and Dad encourage him and eventually he makes the biggest kick of the day.

Caillou’s friend Sarah has a magnifying glass. She shows Caillou how it makes everything in the garden look bigger and suggests a game: Caillou will be a great jungle explorer, using the magnifying glass to make butterflies look as big as birds and Gilbert the cat as big as a lion.

There’s a special event at Caillou’s daycare. Leo, Clementine and Caillou are getting ready to be in a play. They enjoy dressing up and rehearsing and they enjoy it even more when their parents come to see the show.

It’s trick-or-treat time in Caillou’s neighbourhood. Caillou’s dressed as an astronaut, Leo is a not-very-scary Frankenstein’s monster and Clementine is a nurse. With their parents tagging along, they go door to door, collecting lots of treats.

Caillou invites Leo to go on a family picnic. After lunch they go exploring in the woods and discover an old tree trunk that has fallen down. They pretend that they are brave knights and the tree trunk is a bad dragon. When it begins to rain, Caillou and Leo bravely lead the family to safety.

Caillou and the family are at Grandma & Grandpa's for an evening corn roast. Everyone marvels at the night sky full of stars--which gives Grandpa the perfect opportunity to bring out his telescope & introduce Caillou to the constellations, planets and the moon.

The house wakes up late, and that means it's a mad rush to get Mommy off to work. Later, when Caillou goes for a walk with Daddy he meets all kinds of people doing all kinds of jobs--and he gets to try being a mailman, a sanitation engineer and a policeman for himself. The best part? When he makes the lights and siren goes off in the police car!

It's time for Gilbert's annual visit to the vet. Gilbert instinctively knows where he's heading. He hates riding in the car, so Caillou does his best to comfort him--with near-disastrous results! Things only get worse when Gilbert confronts a dog in the waiting room. The vet suggests that Caillou help comfort Gilbert when he gets his shot. That wasn't so bad, was it? MEOW!

When Caillou plays astronauts with Leo he upsets Rosie. Meanwhile, Grandpa discovers a new planetarium is opening and there's a prize for the best space costume. Caillou is thrilled when the winner turns out to be...a surprise!

Caillou is helping Mom clean out the attic. When they come across an old chest, they open it and discover it's full of unexpected things that may not be worth much money, but are treasures none the less.

The family goes away for a weekend of camping in the woods. Caillou is scared when the fish in the lake tickle him. He climbs a mountain with Daddy and really, really hopes he will get to see a moose before it is time to go home.

Caillou has dinner at Sarah's house and discovers new foods and a new way to eat them. He has so much fun learning how to eat with chopsticks he insists on trying them with dessert: Jell-O!

Caillou and Mom meet a fascinating woman in the park. Caillou is quick to approach the woman because she has a friendly dog. He notices it isn't on a leash but in a special harness instead. After several questions she explains she is blind and her dog helps her do many things. Caillou and Mom end up visiting a school where the dogs are taught their special skills.

It's hot and steamy and Mom won't let Caillou go to the public pool since they've been every day this week! When Caillou refuses to put on sunscreen lotion and Rosie won't nap, Mom quickly realizes that the hot weather is making everyone grumpy. She and Caillou come up with the perfect solution: they connect the lawn sprinkler for some good-time backyard fun--which certainly doesn't need a lot of sophisticated equipment.

Caillou, Dad and Rosie are in the car on their way home. Caillou and Rosie are in the back seat arguing and Dad is losing patience with them. When the car breaks down they have to pull over. Caillou comforts Rosie who becomes afraid when smoke comes out of the engine. Caillou is overjoyed when the tow truck arrives. Everyone rides to the garage and Caillou is in charge of holding Rosie's hand and explaining all the scary sounds.

When Dad and Caillou find a scruffy dog that appears to be lost they bring it home. The whole family pitches in and tries to find the owner by posting signs around the neighborhood. But when the owner arrives, Caillou doesn't want to let the dog go. (Though Gilbert is pretty pleased).

Caillou and Dad go shopping for a Christmas tree. Amidst the frenzy of holiday shopping they get jostled and pushed every which way. And by the time they get to the tree vendor, all the good trees are gone. Caillou and Dad have a problem: they promised Mom and Rosie they'd get a tree... Together they cook up a plan: They will decorate a tree in their own back yard!

Mom, an avid skier, takes Caillou downhill skiing while Dad and Rosie sit in the cozy chalet and watch. At first Caillou is frightened by the ski lift, but with Mom's help, he makes it down the hill just fine and has lots of fun. Afterwards, they all get together for tobogganing and a well-deserved hot chocolate before heading out to the hills again.

Caillou is very excited when the family takes a trip across country by train. After the initial thrill fades and they are settled into their compartment he feels a bit confined in the small quarters. Dad takes Caillou to explore the train--there's so much to see and do. But when it's time to sleep, Caillou wonders where his bed is: it's a foldout bunk bed!

Caillou finds an old toy sailing boat Grandpa used to have when he was a kid. It's broken and dusty and Grandpa is about to throw it out, but Grandma says he should restore it. Caillou helps him repair it and paint it, and together they take it to the park to sail it.

Caillou visits a farm and spends a day helping the farmer. He rides on a tractor and milks the cows. When a chicken escapes he finds her and to his surprise he learns where eggs come from!

Caillou, Dad and Rosie take Mom out for Sunday brunch to celebrate a big event. The meal is at a fancy restaurant and Dad explains to Caillou and Rosie that they have to be on their best behavior. Caillou even wears a tie for the occasion! All goes well until Rosie escapes under the buffet table.

Gilbert gets caught up a tree, and to Caillou's delight a fire truck full of firefighters has to be called in to rescue him. Dad happens to know one of the firefighters and he and Caillou are invited to ride back to the fire station for a grand tour.

Caillou and Rosie are spending the night at Grandpa and Grandma’s. Caillou doesn’t want to share a room with his sister. But Grandpa surprises them with bunk beds. Caillou is so excited that he has a hard time falling asleep. The room, from high up looks very different and a bit scary. Teddy falls, and Caillou has to come down the ladder to get him back. The top of the ladder looks very tall and far away. When Grandpa and Grandma open the door in the morning, Rosie, Caillou and Teddy are snuggled up together on the bottom bunk.

Dad drives Caillou to Grandma's for the day. When Dad accidentally leaves with Caillou's backpack full of toys, Caillou is upset and decides that there is nothing to do. Caillou sulks while helping grandma in the garden, until Grandma shows him how he doesn't need his toys to have fun. Soon Caillou is spending the day making wonderful prints with a potato!

An old lot becomes a place of great interest as a house is slowly erected on it. Caillou loves the tractors, diggers and builders. He watches regularly to see the development until one day he discovers that not only is there a new house, but it looks like there might be a new little neighbor. But it turns out there are two! Twins!

Caillou can’t wait until he is old enough to go to school. Since Sarah has no brother or sister, she invites Caillou to a little brother or sister day at school. The school is big and Caillou is a little afraid. But with Sarah’s help Caillou has a lot of fun, he even draws on the blackboard.

Dad pretends to be a pirate and play-wrestles on the ship. Lunchtime causes Caillou to think of an indoor picnic and even Gilbert enjoys the rainy-day arrangement.

Caillou and Sarah find a baby bird that fell from its nest. With Sarah’s help Caillou cares for it and protects it from a very interested Gilbert. He’s a bit frightened by the bird at first, but soon grows very attached to it. But soon the bird is ready to fly and Caillou has to let him go.

A winter storm with snow and freezing rain is heading in Caillou’s direction. While preparing dinner, the lights go out. Caillou doesn’t understand how lights turn off by themselves and is very afraid. Mom sets candles on the tables while Caillou and Dad get flashlights. Dad builds a fire in the fireplace and they pretend they’re camping. They even toast marshmallows! At bedtime everybody curls up by the fire in sleeping bags. Caillou wakes up to the sound of the TV. He realizes the power is back on. But everybody is comfy, so they all sleep in the living room anyway.

It’s time for Caillou’s first visit to the dentist. He thinks it sounds neat until Leo tells him he’s heard terrible things about the dentist. He tells Caillou some crazy stories he heard from his older cousin and now Caillou is not so sure he wants to go. But once he gets there, the dentist is actually really nice and shows him lots of neat stuff. He even gets a special treat!

Caillou is pretty disappointed at first, but then with some help from Mom, Dr. Caillou looks after patient Dad. With the storm moving away, Caillou, with Gilbert by his side, feels happy and safe again.

Caillou decides to be more help. He finishes the table and adds his own special decorations. He is very proud when his family enjoys what he has done.

It makes room for the grown-up teeth. And besides, when you start losing teeth, the tooth fairy brings you presents. That gets Caillou's attention.

Sarah introduces Caillou and Leo to Karate and demonstrates a few moves. While she is at her class, the boys have their own pretend Karate game. When Sarah comes back, she gives another lesson to the whole family.

Caillou helps Rosie build a new tower and finally finds a perfect job for a bulldozer: bulldozing the leaves with Dad in the backyard.

Caillou gets the family together and after going over a basic evacuation plan, Dad starts the alarm once more and everyone rushes outside to a meeting point. Caillou and his Mommy are finishing preparing a picnic lunch. Caillou would like to leave right away, but it’s not lunch time yet and Mom and Dad have other things to finish before they leave. To help Caillou wait, Dad gives him a small alarm clock and a special assignment; to let everybody know when it’s noon (when the two hands on the clock reach twelve).

When Mom, Rosie and Caillou go to the zoo, Caillou can’t wait to see the elephants. Rosie is a bit uneasy with all of these animals around and it takes her a while to get used to them; but, each time they leave a station, the animals seem to “connect” with Rosie one way or another which finally makes her smile. They see a parrot, a monkey, a hippopotamus and finally the elephants! Caillou is in complete awe and comes to the realization that animals have families too.

Grandma takes Caillou on a special visit to a sheep farm. There, Mary, a 10-year-old girl, takes Caillou on a tour, teaching him about sheep, sheering, and the spinning of wool. When a small lamb escapes in the barn, Caillou helps Mary bring it back its his box.

Caillou and Dad go over to Mr. Hinkle’s house to help him build a dog house. Caillou soon meets Mr. Hinkle’s guests, a Mommy dog with her two puppies, who are staying with him for a few days. When one of the puppies disappears, Caillou helps look for him. Fortunately, the bold little puppy comes out of hiding and joins his family in their new home.

They find Caillou’s missing ball and head home where a special surprise is waiting for Caillou at bath time.

When Mom takes Caillou to Clementine’s to see her new pet, she won’t tell Caillou what kind of animal it is. She wants it to be a surprise. Caillou soon discovers that Clemmentine’s new pet is a goldfish named Goldie! Clemmentine teaches Caillou how to feed him. Clementine and Caillou play with Goldie by holding toys against the glass of the fish bowl… After a snack, Caillou and Clementine decide to make drawings of Goldie and are amazed when the fish seems to look at the pictures when they hold it against the fish bowl.

When a white rabbit eats a bunch of carrots set aside for a picnic lunch, Caillou and Rosie go looking him. Caillou is just about to give up when the rabbit shows up. They soon discover that it isn’t a wild rabbit, his name is Snowball and he belongs to Mr. Hinkle’s sister.

When Caillou visits Clementine, he is impressed to see Billy practicing on a Tuba. Billy shows Caillou and Clementine a little bit about the tuba and plays a musical game with them. Soon, Billy’s marching band mates arrive to practice. Clementine and Caillou wish they could join in too. They make their own pretend horns with cardboard tubes. When Billy’s sheet music is lifted away by a gust of wind, Caillou catches it and saves the day for the band! They all march on, giving Caillou a musical escort back to his house.

When they stop at a gas station, Caillou spots some cows in a field next to a picnic area. The family decides to have the picnic there, where they have a close encounter with some cows.

When Caillou realizes that the music box was still working he wants it back. Caillou and Rosie find a way to both get to play with the music box and the pirate bear.

Caillou gets a special invitation to go to André’s gym class. A little intimidated at first, Caillou tries his best and ends up having great fun. When they make a rhythmic coordination exercise, Caillou discovers that not everything is easy! Caillou finds the leap-frog exercise difficult but he keeps trying and finally succeeds. Back home, André and Caillou play gym class and when Caillou finds a toy whistle, it’s his turn to be the gym teacher!

Caillou and Leo are playing with their rocket ships in the park. Rosie wants to help them build the space station but she accidentally wrecks it. Caillou’s frustration builds up when they have to go home because of Rosie’s nap. At home, Caillou and Leo continue their space game and are thrilled when Mr. Hinkle gives them a cardboard box which they transform into a rocket ship. They all work very hard to decorate it. When Rosie comes out to help, Caillou is worried she’s going to wreck it and doesn’t want her help. But with Mommy’s help, Rosie makes the perfect final touch for the rocket ship: a flag! Caillou realizes that Rosie can help too and invites her to join him on the first mission in their new rocket ship!

On a winter day, Dad and Caillou go over to Grandpa’s with their skates. What was suppose to be a skating outing becomes a shoveling chore because of all the snow that has accumulated in Grandpa’s driveway. Soon, Caillou finds a way to turn this into a game and has a lot of fun making snow castles. When they are finally done and ready to go skating, the snowplow passes in front of Grandpa’s and leaves more snow to shovel. Still, Caillou is delighted: they can make plenty of new snow castles!

When Caillou and Rosie stay at Grandma and Grandpa’s house, Grandpa uses pop bottles and a rubber ball to create a kid’s bowling alley in the backyard. Grandpa teaches Caillou to bowl, but when he is called inside, it’s Caillou’s turn to teach as he shows Rosie how to play. Rosie and Caillou have a great time playing together and when they come in for a snack they have another surprise: Grandma has made a little bowling trophy for each of them.

Caillou accidentally spills the rest of the milk before Rosie could get her cereal. She is very upset and Caillou suggests they go get some more milk at the corner store. On their way there, Caillou is proud to show things to his Mommy. He picks up a piece of chalk left on the sidewalk and draws a smiley face. At the street intersection, he shows Mom that he knows when it is time to cross safely. Mom is also proud of him. They get some milk and bread and come back home. Caillou can’t wait to eat cereal too but is disappointed when he finds out there is only enough cereal for Rosie! Rosie graciously agrees to share the cereal with her big brother and they have a great snack together.

It is a rainy day and Caillou is disappointed because he will not be able to go play at the park with Grandma. Caillou’s mood changes when he discovers an old photo of a younger Grandpa and Grandma dancing. He gets more excited when he finds a first-prize ribbon they won at a dancing contest. He wants to dance too! With Grandma as his partner, Caillou follows her lead and learns to dance in the living room. Soon Caillou is even inventing his own steps! The dance goes on and the park is long forgotten, even if the weather has changed and the sun is now shinning outside.

A little investigation back home leads him to his secret admirer: a little sister with a big heart.

Although he’s too little to go up and bat, he becomes part of the team as the water boy and does a great job. When Dad’s game is over, they take out Caillou’s toy baseball gear and have a baseball game of their own.

Caillou is curious when they see a sled dog and his master giving a sled show on the premises. Caillou watches in wonder as the dog obeys the vocal commands. Later on in the sugar shack, Caillou learns about the maple syrup transformation process. But the best surprise is outside when Jonas pours the hot maple toffee on the snow, for everyone to enjoy.

A closer investigation leads them to a mischievous and playful squirrel who soon has them running around the yard. Exhausted, they drop in the snow and make some tracks of their own: snow angels.

It is not easy but Caillou likes to learn from André and they put a lot of effort into building it. Sarah shows up and the boys put the fort to the test as they start a fun snow fight. Grandma has given Caillou a special spaceship plate. Caillou loves it so much that he carries it everywhere with him and he wants to eat every meal from it. Caillou is disappointed when he can’t find the plate. He searches the whole house but still can’t find it. Soon Caillou discovers that Rosie accidentally hid it in the kitchen while playing with bowls and lids. Caillou is very happy to have his favorite plate again. His snack even seems to taste better on it.

It’s raining outside but there is no stopping Caillou! Since no one wants to join him, he goes outside to play in his new froggie boots, his rain coat and hat. He has a great time walking through water, making holes in the wet sand of the sand box, and making mud soup. He sees a robin catch a worm and is thrilled when he finds a worm of his own. When Leo calls to invite Caillou over to play, Caillou isn’t sure at first if he wants to go since he’s having such a great time by himself but, he decides that he wants to show his worm to Leo and heads off to see his friend.

After finding a photograph of a four-year-old Dad with a model train set, Caillou and Dad decide to look for it in Grandpa’s basement. After a while, they finally find it and set it up to test it out. Caillou is having a great time; Grandpa, Dad and Caillou all love toy trains. Grandma captures the moment in a photograph which Caillou decides to put in the photo album beside the old picture of Dad.

Caillou decides to make up a story on his own and plays it out with Rosie. “Superbear” and “Lttle Bear” run after the villain Gilbert AKA “Bad-Bazoo-Bear” and save the day. When they get to the kitchen a real task awaits them! Mom can’t find her car keys. “Superbear” is quick to check around and finds them. Mom is very proud of her two super heroes.

Luckily when they return home Gilbert is waiting for them on the porch.

When a new, longer set of monkey bars is installed at the park, Caillou is disappointed that he can't climb as far as Leo. Later, when Clementine and Billy join them Caillou finds he can lift up Billy's bike. He couldn't do that last year! Caillou realizes he's getting stronger every day!

With training wheels on his bike, Caillou is having trouble keeping up with Sarah. After imagining himself riding in a real grownup bike race Caillou decides he's ready to try riding without his training wheels. It proves to be harder than he thought, however, and he quits in frustration. Daddy explains it's okay to wait until he's really ready. He goes back to his training wheels and the next day Sarah shows up on her new roller blades - now she's travelling at his speed.

There's been a big storm and the playschool yard is littered with branches and other debris. The children all pitch in to help clean up the playground . When Caillou and his friends, Leo and Clementine, finish their cleanup duties they decide to build a road through the sandlot. Using simple tools and their imaginations they lay out a road, build a bridge, dig a tunnel, and even plant a tree fashioned from a leafy twig.

When Caillou is lifted up for a turn sitting in the big fire truck he imagines he is a firefighter himself hurrying though town to save the day. Miss Martin tells him it’s natural to be afraid of things the first time you try them - why, she was afraid of the swings when she was a little girl. Caillou musters up his courage and, pretending he’s a brave mountain climber, he climbs up the ladder and slides down, discovering how fun water slides really are!

Mommy and Daddy are going out to a party and Caillou is excited to hear that Grandpa is coming to babysit. When Grandpa arrives he brings a couple of surprises - a book about sailing ships and a real telescope. Caillou learns all about the old ships and how to salute when you say ‘Aye aye Captain!’ When a thunderstorm starts to rage outside Caillou is a little scared, until he pretends he’s a very brave sea captain who’s not afraid of storms!

He decides to teach his little sister about all the different kinds of insects in their backyard. Thanks to Caillou’s stories and drawings, Rosie soon likes bugs too, almost as much as Caillou does.

Caillou wants to play hockey with Billy and the other big kids. He goes with Daddy to the store to get the equipment he needs, but he finds he just can’t keep up with the big kids. Caillou goes to Leo’s house to practice his hockey skills and dream about the future.

Mommy can’t find Caillou’s toboggan for the playschool tobogganing trip and Caillou is certain he’ll miss out on all the fun. Miss Martin tells him that a cardboard box slides just as well as a toboggan on snow, so he decorates a box to look just like a bobsled. Once they get to the hill his bobsled box works just as well as all the other kids’ toboggans and he has a grand time after all.

The two friends set out to prove him wrong, and once they put on their ‘grownup costumes’ he finally relents and lets them play. Caillou pretends he’s a rock and roll drummer playing a big drum solo!

Caillou and his friends are very excited when a real marching band goes by the playschool. They decide they want to be in a marching band too. The kids find some makeshift instruments in the classroom, and Emma makes them matching band hats. After a shaky start, Caillou leads the others by beating on his drum and they march around the schoolyard like a real marching band.

Encouraged to tell the others what she knows, Lee Wun is able to start making new friends.

The whole family is on the way to the beach but accidentally end up on a trail through a swamp. Caillou is disappointed, he doesn't think a swamp could be very interesting, until he takes a closer look at the creatures who live there. He imagines he's in the Bayou searching for alligators.

He even imagines himself as a human magnet superhero. In the end Caillou is able to apply what he's learned and uses a magnet to help Daddy retrieve a metal peg from behind the workbench.

The whole family goes on a trip to the natural history museum to look at the dinosaurs. Caillou is really enjoying himself looking at the skeletons and learning about the different kinds of dinosaurs. When he momentarily loses the others he knows enough to stay put until Mommy comes back and finds him. And when he realizes he's left Rexy somewhere he learns about the lost and found, and retraces his steps until he finds his dinosaur friend.

Unfortunately Clementine wants to play bears and Xavier wants to play astronauts, and a little argument ensues. At story time Miss Martin tells them more about spaceships and astronauts and Caillou imagines he's zooming around the galaxy exploring stars and planets. Back outside Caillou makes up a new astronaut and bear game so everyone can play together.

Caillou is excited about showing Rosie the ropes when they visit the library. During storytime Caillou imagines he's in the story, riding on a dolphin. Later he and Rosie argue over a book and accidentally tear it. He doesn't want to tell the librarian, but finally musters up the courage to do so. The librarian turns out to be very nice and he helps her fix the book. And Rosie gets her very own library card!

Returning home from the library Caillou is very eager to sit down and enjoy his pirate book. Unfortunately it's a very busy day and he's having trouble finding a quiet place to look at his book. Caillou finally finds the perfect place - in his closet! By the light of his flashlight he finally gets to enjoy his book and pretends he's the pirate in the story digging up a buried treasure.

It's a rainy day at playschool and the children can't go outside. Caillou makes up a funny story about a superhero who makes the rain stop - it's Super Caillou! He tells the story to Jeffrey and Jason, and Miss Martin suggests he make his own storybook. She writes the story down and Caillou draws the pictures. By the time Mommy comes to pick him up, Caillou has his very own book to show her!

Mommy's having a bad day - first she can't find her car keys, then she and Caillou have to shovel the car out, and then the car won't start! At playschool Caillou decides to make her a present to cheer her up. His first two attempts don't turn out but he perseveres and makes her a picture of a sun - to melt all the snow!

Jeffrey and Jason are coming over for dinner - it's a make-your-own pizza party! Caillou feels he is an expert at this and starts to show them how to do it. When the twins both opt for less-than-traditional ingredients Caillou is upset that they're doing it all wrong. In the end, however, their pizzas turn out just fine and Caillou learns that everyone has their own unique way of doing things.

Meanwhile Rosie and Daddy are pressing a flower for Grandma. When Grandma arrives she is thrilled with her very artistic gifts.

Grandpa's got a surprise for Caillou on their trip to the park - it's a remote control sailboat! Caillou is eager to race against the other boats on the pond. He imagines himself as Captain of the fastest sailboat ever. In his eagerness to win however, Caillou goes a little too fast and the boat capsizes. Caillou is sorry he didn't win the race, but he still had lots of fun and is eager to try again next week.

Mommy sends Caillou to play outside because he's making too much noise and it's Rosie's nap time. Caillou notices all the loud sounds outside, especially Daddy's lawnmower, and the recycling truck. Daddy says he knows a sound that's even louder than those sounds, and takes Caillou to a road near the airport. Daddy was right - the planes taking off overhead are really, really, really loud! Caillou imagines he's a pilot of one of those planes.

Halloween is coming and it's time to pick out a costume to wear. Soon Rosie has three costumes she wants to wear, but Caillou still hasn't decided on what he wants to be. And time is running out! Finally a piece of blue fake fur gives him a great idea - he'll be a blue monster! His parents help him fashion an odd but effective monster costume out of bits and pieces they find around the house. When Leo and Clementine arrive they agree that Caillou is a very scary-looking monster indeed!

When birds keep eating the seeds in Mommy and Caillou's newly planted garden, they come up with the idea of making a scarecrow. It's fun picking out the clothes and drawing pictures for the face too. Caillou even imagines he's a scarecrow himself! When they are finished their scarecrow Rosie's noisy pie plates prove to be the final ingredient needed to scare away the birds!

One fine day the family is going on a car trip. Daddy says he doesn't know where they're going, they'll just see what they can find. Caillou thinks this is very strange and isn't sure it will be any fun at all. After playing a car game, they stop at a gas station for lunch and Caillou sees a really big truck. Then they ride on a ferry boat, and the captain lets Caillou blow the horn. Caillou decides that car trips are even more fun when you don't know where you're going!

There's a special visitor at Caillou's playschool - a boy named Alan who has Down's Syndrome. Caillou helps him with the things he has trouble with, like climbing and swinging on the swings. Then, when Caillou and his friends put on a little play Alan brings the house down as a very believable dragon. Caillou realizes that Alan has his own special talent - acting!

When Caillou accidentally breaks Mommy's favourite cup, Grandma suggests they make her a new one. Caillou goes to Grandma's pottery class where he learns how to make a cup, paint it with glaze and fire it. He's a little impatient about waiting overnight for it to be ready, but the final result is worth the wait. And Mommy loves her new cup!

Caillou loves watching him and learns from Miss Martin about lots of different ways that police officers help people. Caillou decides he wants to help people too, and finds a whistle for directing traffic. Unfortunately his friends aren't very willing to be directed, but he does get to put Leo the bank robber in jail under the slide. He even finds a way to help the police officer… by bringing him a cool drink when he's done his work.

It’s Valentine’s Day and Daddy surprises Mommy with a bouquet of roses at breakfast. Caillou is intrigued by the cupid on his card from Mommy. At playschool the children make valentines for all their friends. Caillou imagines he’s cupid when he is delivering his cards to the appropriate mailboxes, but is upset to find he’s lost his special card for his best friend Leo. Luckily, with Miss Martin’s help he makes a new one and Leo really likes it!

Caillou is very sad when his snowman melts away in the warm spring sunshine. He doesn’t want winter to end. He helps Daddy clean up the yard and learns about composting. And during a walk in the park he is reminded of all the good things about spring – the birds returning, the warm weather, the fun things he can do outside. By the time they return home and Caillou finds the first crocuses of spring, he has decided that he’s glad spring is here.

Caillou is helping Grandma water her flowers and fill the birdbath. When they get thirsty and need a break from gardening, Grandma finds there’s no juice to be found in the fridge. No matter, Grandma shows Caillou how to make fruit juice from scratch, and it tastes so good that Mommy asks for seconds.

Caillou and his friends Jason and Jeffrey make finger puppets at playschool and decide to put on a puppet show for the rest of the class the next day. The next morning, however, Caillou is disappointed to find that he’s caught the measles from Rosie and can’t go to playschool. All is saved when the whole class comes to wish him well and the puppet show goes on as planned – through the living room window!

In the park Caillou starts a new hobby – collecting rocks! He finds out that Grandpa has a rock collection too, and they go to the quarry where Caillou watches a worker break up big stones into smaller ones. Caillou gets to pick out a rock for Grandpa that ends up in Grandpa’s new rock garden. Which gives Caillou an idea for the perfect spot to put his own rocks.

Caillou goes out caroling for the very first time with Mommy, Daddy, Rosie, Grandpa and Grandma. He finds out caroling is lots of fun – you get to stay up late and surprise your friends with carols, and you even get treats! They finish up the night with a big finale at the seniors’ home and Caillou imagines he’s really ‘dashing through the snow’ in a horse and sleigh.

But when Emma outruns Caillou in a race, he soon realizes Emmas diabetes isnt like a cold or flu. Its something Emma has to live with every day... and shes doing a pretty good job of it.

As Caillou learns about Rudy the camel from its trainer, Chloe, he feels better about camels... and finally decides to take that camel ride.

Daddy senses Caillou is afraid to admit hes not ready for the big hill, and gives Caillou an easy out - by saying Rosie needs someone to play with on the little hill. Later, when Andre decides to sled down the big hill but he too is afraid Caillou helps his friend save face by inviting him to sled on the little hill with him and Rosie.

Trying to catch a flying saucer is much harder than he thought, and Caillou is disappointed when he eventually discovers his flying saucer is only a tin plate blowing around in the wind. Now what will he tell his friends? Caillou feels much better when he realizes he solved the mystery, regardless of what the flying saucer turned out to be.

When Samantha comes to the door to claim her lost kitten, Whiskers, Caillou fetches the kitty... and finds Rexy! He remembers it isnt fun losing something you care about, and happily returns the kitty to its rightful owner.

Grandma has knit Caillou a wonderful sweater. He loves it and wears it every day even after it gets dirty! Finally, on a hot day, Caillou decides to take it off. When he accidentally leaves the sweater in the playground and goes home for the day, he worries something terrible has happened to it. Grandma will be so upset with him! When Mommy and Caillou return the next day to find the sweater is fine, Caillou vows to never wear it again. He decides to keep it in his drawer, nice and safe until Grandma explains its okay to wear the sweater its meant to be worn - just not everyday.

Grandma plans to coach Caillous soccer team while Grandpa recovers from an injury. Caillou is excited about this until Grandma proves to have some unusual training methods. She insists her strange drills will make the kids better players. But it isnt until the kids first game that they realize Grandmas strange and different methods are working they are turning into better players!

Caillou wants to run a marathon, just like Daddy. His father explains that marathons are for grown-ups, but Caillou insists he can do it! Caillou and Daddy go running together, and Caillou discovers its harder than it looks. When he sees Rosie dawdling along, Caillou realizes that everyone runs at their own speed and ability and he decides to run a mini-marathon instead!

Caillou likes sailing with Daddy and Grandpa. Only, he wants to be Captain! Grandpa and Daddy try to convince him that his job as Lookout is very important, but Caillou isnt convinced... until he helps them find Treasure Cove by spotting various landmarks and leading the way.

Rosie has had a growth spurt and Caillou wants one too. He tries desperately to grow bigger by eating lots, and exercising, and even trying to sleep during the day. But nothing works! When Caillou sees that his friend Andre doesnt always like being big because he cant do some of the fun things he did when he was little Caillou decides its okay to be little... at least for a little while longer.

Caillou wants to learn how to roller skate... until he realizes roller skating is very difficult. With a little help and guidance from his pre-teen friend, Daniel, Caillou decides to keep practicing, so his skills will improve just like Daniels did!

Caillou wants to take a picture of a bunny rabbit in Grandmas garden, but it proves a harder task then he originally thought. With a little perseverance (and a little lettuce from the garden) he finally sees the task through to the end and gets a photo hes proud of!

Clementine can whistle, and Caillou cant! Caillou tries his best to learn and practices every where he goes... but he just cant seem to get the hang of it and this embarrasses him. Mommy and Daddy reassure him this skill will come with time, but Caillou feels much better when he realizes there are things he can do that Clementine cant do like wiggling his ears!

While shopping for a birthday present for Clementine, Caillou and Leo decide to go halvsies on a toy shuttle. They try to share it, but squabbles inevitably arise. When Caillou worries that Leo isnt talking to him anymore he finally realizes his friendship is more important than any toy. Luckily for Caillou, Leo thinks so too! In the end, the boys decide to gift the toy shuttle to Clementine who is all too happy to receive it.

Grandpa is coaching Caillous soccer team, and Caillou really wants to impress his Grandpa. So when the team starts losing, and Caillou begins to bumble on the field, Caillou decides he doesnt want to play anymore. Grandpa explains that win or lose, its all about having fun. Hes proud of Caillou, no matter what. With renewed enthusiasm, Caillou rejoins the team to have fun playing the game.

Caillou is very proud when Miss Martin makes him Safety Helper for the day. He takes his job very seriously, and even prevents Jeffrey from going down the slide head-first. So when the job is passed on to Leo the next day, Caillou feels crushed... until he overhears some students repeating his safety lessons, and realizes they took his message to heart.

Caillou is helping Mommy take care of a raspberry bush. When he promises to bring his preschool pals some raspberries, he realizes he needs to see his promise through. But its hard waiting for berries to ripen, and it seems to take forever. When they do finally ripen, Caillou realizes good (and delicious!) things are worth waiting for.

A spaghetti dinner (and a lot of giggling) result in Caillou getting the hiccups. Daddy thinks he knows how to cure them, and together, they embark on a series of hiccup-curing trials. But none of them see to work! Mommy insists the hiccups will go away on their own - as long as Caillou doesnt make a big deal of them... and shes right!

Caillou wants to be an amazing magician and has Grandma got a trick for him! She shows Caillou her composter, and soon, Caillou is determined to make gardening gold appear all on his own. Mommy and Daddy are very impressed when Caillou the magician eventually turns their household scraps into compost!

When Daddy must cut down an old decaying tree, Caillou is upset. Where will the birds and squirrels will live? He and Daddy make a visit to a tree farm, where they buy a big new tree to replace the old one.

When Miss Martin asks the class to think up ways to save water, Caillou takes it to heart. He tries to stop taking baths, and wants to stop brushing his teeth, but Mommy, of course, wont let him. When Caillou notices a dripping faucet hes amazed to learn how leaking tap water really adds up giving him an even better idea of how to conserve (and reuse) water!
